A pair of automated gates with raised and fielded panels in top and
TGV boarding at bottom.
Made from Utile with our standard colour stain applied.
Rear view of same gates showing framework structure and black steel
angle iron reinforcement all along bottom rail.
Untreated Iroko gates to customers own design. Posts are Balau a
very durable and stable hardwood used in marine defences.
Untreated European Oak was used in this pair of automated gates
for a vicarage. The material was chosen to be sympathetic to the
design and period of nearby church. The steel bars are galvanised
then powder coated. We only select the 'quarter sawn' or 'vertical
grain' pieces from the log for the framework of the gate. This shows
in the silver fleck so prized by furniture makers. The oak is kiln
dried or air dried down to its end use optimum, around 18%.
